Pricing & Funding
Love Lane Pre-School in conjunction with Shaw-Cum-Donnington Primary School are able to offer Universal and Extended hour provisions for 2, 3 and 4 year old's. These services are also available to self-funded children.
We offer the following sessions
8.00 – 8.30 am - The schools breakfast club is open from 8 am for those parents who require an early start.
8.30 – 11.30 am – The morning session is spent with us at Love Lane Pre-School, staff from the school will bring any breakfast club children over to us for 8.30 am when we open. A member of Pre-School staff will then walk children back to the school when our session ends at 11.30 am, where they will join the reception class.
11.30 – 3.30 pm – The children will spend the afternoon session in the reception class at Shaw-cum-Donnington Primary School. Staff at the primary school will supervise the children eating a packed lunch at 12 noon. The school day finishes at 3.15 pm and children can either be collected at that time or stay for their after-school club.
3.30 – 6.00 pm - For parents who require longer hours, an after-school club is available at the primary school.
Costs
If you wish to self-fund your child to attend either or both settings, the costings are listed below.
Morning session at Love Lane Pre-School: £16.50
Shaw-cum-Donnington Primary School: £5.50 per hour
Breakfast & after school clubs can be booked at an extra cost, directly with Shaw-cum-Donnington primary school through email office@shaw.w-berks.sch.uk.
Please be aware that 2 year old children are not able to attend the school setting, so only the morning sessions at the pre-school (8.30 - 11.30 am) are available to them.
Love Lane Pre-School charge a non-refundable registration administration fee of £10 for new admissions.
Funding
All 3 and 4 year olds are automatically eligible for Universal funding from the term following their 3rd birthday.

15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks
A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider
Some providers will allow you to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week
15 hours free childcare for 3 & 4 year olds
For all families in England
With 3 and 4-year-old children
15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks
A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider
Some providers will allow you to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week
30 hours free childcare for 3 & 4 year olds
For working families in England
With 3 and 4-year-old children
30 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks
A total of 1,140 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more
childcare provider
Some providers will allow you to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week
To check if you are eligible to obtain either 2 year old funding, or 3 & 4 year old extended hours you need to apply via the Childcare Choices website: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
All parents/carers (even those who are only claiming universal hours) will need to complete a parent declaration form (here) from West Berkshire so we can apply for your funding.
