What is Tapestry?

Tapestry is a secure online learning journal used by Love Lane Pre-School to record your child's photos, observations, and achievements in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. It's how we share your child's day-to-day moments with you, and how we send newsletters and important updates.

What can I do on Tapestry?

• View photos, videos, and observations of your child's learning and development

• Receive newsletters and updates from us

• Add your own photos or comments from home, so we can see learning that happens outside pre-school too

• Message staff directly through the platform

• Download a full PDF copy of your child's learning journal at any time, as a lasting keepsake

How do I get started?

Once you've registered with us and provided your email address, we'll set up your Tapestry account and send you a login invitation by email. From there:

1. On your phone or tablet: search "Tapestry Mobile" in the App Store (iPhone/iPad), Google Play Store (Android), or Amazon App Store (Fire tablets), and download the free app.

2. On a computer: simply go to tapestryjournal.com  and log in with your browser — no download needed.

3. The first time you log in, you'll be asked to set your own password, and on the app, a 4-digit PIN for quick, secure access afterwards.

A few things worth knowing

• Only you, our staff, and anyone you specifically choose to share access with (such as grandparents) can see your child's journal.

• If your child is a Tapestry Focus Child, whichever staff member is looking after them at the time will capture extra photos and observations to keep updated.

• If your child appears in a group photo alongside other children, please let us know if you'd prefer they not be included in other children's individual journals.
